US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Visits Croatia
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told Croatia’s leaders Wednesday that their country has great potential and that the US is optimistic about its future in the European Union. Clinton is visiting Croatia, as part of her tour of the Southeast Europe. She met with Croatian President Ivo Josipovic (SDP) and PM Zoran Milanovic (SDP), discussing bilateral relations, global economic situation and the role of Croatia in the region. “Nations around the world today are making the difficult transition to democracy, and they can look to Croatia as a model,” said Clinton. She said U.S. companies are interested in investing in Croatia, but bureaucracy needs to be significantly reduced.
