RENEWABLES: IFC to Provide €38.8 Million for Wind Farm Jelinak

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, arranged €38.8 million in financing for the 30 MW wind farm Jelinak, located in the north-west of the Split-Dalmatia County. IFC has approved €15.4 million in loans to a local subsidiary of Acciona Energia, part of the Acciona Group, a global infrastructure conglomeration based in Spain and one of the leading companies in the field of renewable energy.

IFC mobilized an additional €23.4 million from UniCredit through a syndicated loan. The Jelinak wind farm will increase Croatia’s wind energy capacity by 30 MW, which is a 16% increase as opposed to the current level of 180 MW.  This investment will continue to diversify Croatia’s energy production…
