HC has published a tender for the construction of the Peljesac bridge and its access roads, starting the first phase of the project’s realisation. The project will be carried out in four phases, to be realised by 2022. The project’s total estimated value is €525.9 million, with up to €330 million in EU financing. HC is the project beneficiary, meaning they will manage and oversee the project’s development. The European Commission (EC) has not yet approved the amount for the project co-financing. However, the government expects the approval to occur within the next three months. The 52-year-old Skoric holds a degree in Civil Engineering. In his career, Skoric headed the Development Agency of Osijek-Baranja County and was also HC CEO in 2009-2011.
