Plinacro Launches Non- Binding Open Season Phase
The state-owned natural-gas network company Plinacro launched a non-binding phase for the (restarted) Open Season procedure to obtain valid input information for the construction of the gas pipeline on natural gas transport routes from the future LNG terminal on the Island of Krk (the Primorje-Goranska County) and from other directions for the planned pipelines.
The Open Season schedule is as follows; 18 January – 4 March: non-binding offers for the booking of capacities; 7-11 March: offer reviews and allocation of capacities; 14-31 March: calculation of the indicative tariff for the binding phase; 1 April – 2 May: the binding phase.
Furthermore, the European Commission (EC) will grant €4.825 million to Plinacro for studies during the first phase of construction for the gas interconnection with Slovenia (Bosiljevo-Karlovac-Lucko-Zabok-Rogatec), following the call for proposals under the Connection Europe Facility (CEF). This is one of 15 key trans-European infrastructure projects; the EC is investing €217 million in these projects.
