Marjan defended his Masters and PhD theses in lobbying and created public policies at the Institute of Sociological and Political Legal Research at the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje. He is an author of professional and academic papers on lobbying and the author of the following books: “Manual for media affirmation and presentation” (2008), “Lobbying in Local Self-Government” (2009), “Communication, Public Relations and Lobbying” (co-author: K. Petkovski (2009)), “Lobbying in the Local Government“ (2010),  “Manual for Transparent Lobbying of Civil Organisations” (2013).

As panelist at numerous international assemblies, assistant professor Marjan Tanushevski, PhD, participated in Zagreb, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Tirana, Sophia and Podgorica; he also held management lobbying seminars that were supported by GIZ, USAID and the Delegation of EU in Republic of Macedonia. In 2005, he worked as coordinator for the Pelagonija-Ohrid region on a World Bank project – “Development of municipalities”.  In 2013, he managed and led the training for the project “Lobbying and participation of civil society in developing and implementing public policies in Pelagonia region – Building a dialogue”; the project was funded by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Macedonia within the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights.

He is a professor at both the BAS-Skopje and BAS Institute for management in Bitola. He is an associate professor teaching “Public Relations” (undergraduate studies) and “Managerial Lobbying” (graduate studies). Marjan is a member of the Macedonian Science Society Bitola, and manager of the first Macedonian Lobbying Center.

Between 1998 and 2009, Marjan has been a member of the Municipality of Bitola and from 2000 to 2005 he was the President of the Council of the Municipality Bitola.  Proposed by the Ministry of Justice in 2009, Marjan participated in the working group that drafted the new Law for Civil Associations and Foundations.

Marjan is a professional journalist-editor at the Macedonian Information Agency (MIA).
