Zagreb Airport Concessionaire Finalising new Terminal Construction Financing

This spring, the Zagreb Airport International Company (ZAIC), comprising the French contractor Bouygues, Aeroport de Paris and the Croatian contractor Viadukt, was awarded a 30-year concession for the management of the Zagreb Airport and the construction/management of a new runway and terminal.  According to ZAIC management, they are close to finalising the €250 million financing for the new terminal construction.   Along with the 3 original concession partners, the team is now joined by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Istanbul airport operator TAV, and the state-owned insurance company Croatia Osiguranje (CO).  The consortium is planning to begin construction of the new terminal in April 2013.
