Hypo Bank Group Selling Southeast Europe Branches

The Hypo Bank Group has begun to gather offers for their Southeast Europe branches – Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, and Montenegro; deadline for delivery of offers is 7 December.  These branches are owned by the Austrian-bases SEE Holding with a portfolio valued at €11 billion, representing approximately 7% of the market share in the region and 250 bank offices.  Hypo Banks in Croatia and Serbia are expected to be of most interest, since they are operating at a profit.
