GOVERNMENT: Regulation of EU Structural Instruments Management Bodies
The government adopted amendments to the regulation, changing the section of the regulation which defines and outlines the Operational Programme (OP) “Transport”. In accordance with the European Commission (EC) regulations, the government has submitted a request to the EC for the revision of the OP “Transport” to encourage optimal use of available resources and ensure better absorption by the end of 2016.
The regulation, based on the Regional Development Act (see LPJ 108), was amended in order to convert previously unspent funds. On 30 November 2015, the European Commission adopted the amendments to the above OP, introducing a new priority – “Development of roads and airports” which is now included in the Regulation of EU Structural Instruments Management Bodies.
As part of the “Transport” OP, Croatia has been allocated €237 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the end of 2016.
