GOVERNMENT: Non-residential Buildings Energy Efficiency Programme (2014-2020)
The government ratified the Non-residential Buildings Energy Efficiency Programme (2014-2020) with a detailed 2014-2016 plan. The plan encompasses offices, hotels, restaurants, shopping centres, camps, and tourist facilities. The estimated annual energy savings potential is 413 GWh by 2016, or 743.4 GWh by 2020.
Estimated investment costs for energy renewal amounts to €234 million by 2016, or €421 million by 2020. Financial savings achieved through the energy renovation are estimated on an annual basis at €32 million by 2016 and €57 million by 2020.
