GOVERNMENT: 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Absorption Plan

The government adopted a plan for the absorption of the Competitiveness and Cohesion, Effective Human Resources, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and Rural Development Operational Programmes for 2014-2020.

During this period, Croatia has been allocated €10.676 billion from the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESI), with €8.397 billion planned for cohesion policy objectives, €2.026 billion for agriculture and rural development and €253 million for fisheries development.

The plan describes, in detail, the time-tables and amounts used from these funds, and is meant to monitor the progress of these funds. The Subcommittee Coordination and Monitoring of ESI Funds will be responsible for monitoring the implementation progress of the plan, in relation to the contracting and execution towards meeting the forecast targets by 2023.
