EU Projects Worth €4.9 Million for Ministry of Justice

The Central Finance and Contracting Agency (SAFU) Director Tomislav Petric signed 7 agreements, based on the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA), that are aimed at strengthening the capacities of various aspects of the Croatian justice system. Croatia still has the right to use the remaining IPA funds by the end of this year, meaning that contracts for projects financed by IPA funds have to be signed by the end of 2016. The 7 aforementioned agreements are aimed to achieve the goals of 3 projects: 1. Strengthening the capacities and increasing efficacy of the Croatian State Attorneys Office (DORH) and Office for Combating Corruption and Organised Crime (USKOK), 2. Improvement of the digital e-file system used by courts, and 3. Strengthening the Croatian prison system.
