EU ELECTIONS: European Parliament Election on 14 April

President Ivo Josipovic has announced that elections for Croatia’s MEPs in the European Parliament (EP) will be held on 14 April.  His decision was made after consulting with the State Elections Commission, the government, parliamentary parties, and the NGO elections watchdog GONG.

Even though there were calls for combining the local elections scheduled for May with the EP elections, as a public savings measure, Josipovic felt it was important to separate the elections.
