EC Adopts Croatia-Hungary Cross-Border Programme

On 7 September, the European Commission adopted the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 between Croatia and Hungary. With a total budget of €73.9 million, €60.8 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the programme is aimed at strengthening economic ties between the two countries, as well as preserving the region’s environment.

It will focus on four main areas, namely, supporting the competitiveness of SMEs, promoting a sustainable use of natural and cultural assets, fostering enhanced cross border cooperation and investing in education programmes.
