Croatia Continues Participation in Peacekeeping Missions

The Government approved participation of Croatian Armed Forces in 4 various international peacekeeping missions. The first is the “Resolute Support Mission” in Afghanistan (see VGIW 7). Due to the unstable security situation, the Government decided to continue the participation of up to 100 members of the Croatian Armed Forces. In 2017, Croatia will also continue to participate with 23 members of the Croatian Armed Forces in the three following UN peace-keeping missions: 5 members to UNIFIL (Lebanon), 8 members to MINURSO (Western Sahara), 10 members to UNMOGIP (India and Pakistan). The NATO peace support operation in Kosovo – KFOR –  will be assisted with the support of 40 Croatian Armed Forces Members. Finally, Croatia plans to send 25 members of the Croatian Armed Forces to the EU’s peace support operation “EU NAVFOR SOMALIA – OPERATION ATALANTA”…
