AVIATION: Air Croatia to Launch Flights from Sweden to Zagreb
The Swedish airline company specialising in holiday packages to Croatia, Air Croatia, will launch seasonal summer flights on a low cost basis from Sweden to Zagreb and Croatian coastal cities. Presently, the airliner intends to perform one flight per week from Gothenburg to Zagreb, Dubrovnik, and Pula, and two weekly flights to Split. From the Swedish capital Stockholm the company will operate flights to Zadar and Split.
In order to perform these services, Air Croatia will lease an aircraft from a Dutch-based carrier, whose name was not disclosed. In addition, the general public will be provided with an opportunity to purchase individual tickets.
Air Croatia is not the first newcomer to announce new flights from the Zagreb International Airport (MZLZ), since the French-led consortium, the Zagreb Airport International Company (ZAIC), took over the management of the airport in December 2013.
